BEHEMOTH "Demigod" (SCREEN TAB, guitar cover)

A classic Behemoth song from their best era. Notes on the TAB: there are plenty of notes for this one - though a pretty simple song, there are some nuances and things I’d like to point out right away. When Behemoth plays live, the camera never seems to stay on an instrument for more than 2 seconds, no joke! So I could get some things with certainty, but others not so much.
1. For measure 20 (and where else this part is played) I am tremolo picking the notes because I liked the way it sounded. The record and live versions play the octave chords shown in the tab.
2. For the evil riff at measure 41, this one is hard to decipher (even when slowing to half tempo) in both live recordings and the studio recording. I play it slightly different in my video (going down to the 5th fret) but other tabs seem to just go down to the 7th.
3. The octave chords at measure 45 are how they play live, but I played them in a different position on my cover.
4. The last part of the solo is something that I improvised to add to the intensity. Consult the tab for the most accurate way Nergal seems to play this part live. We are probably never going to know the exact ending to the solo unless Nergal shows us directly. Leave a comment if you have questions about the solo. I’m happy to help.
5. Lastly I’d like to note that Nergal has said in interviews that they definitely play things differently live, and for Demigod, he cannot remember how certain parts were recorded in studio. So all in all, Behemoth is really about the feel, so I’d focus on just jamming out.

When preparing tabs, I use track separation software to isolate guitars and slow down tempos in order to hear all of the intricacies. I remove the guitar when recording myself, so what you hear is all me! I use as much live footage as I can find in additon to official music videos in order to see the proper positions of certain riffs. Tabs will sometimes not be perfect, but, the tabbing process is exhaustive and I make every effort to give you the most accurate tabs possible!
