Описание: Seven is a sacred number. In the premiere show of Rhythms of Seven, Seema Mehta, Kathak artiste of the Lucknow and Jaipur gharana will be collaborating with Sitar virtuoso Purbayan Chatterjee and will explore the contrast between beauty and lyricism of both the art forms juxtaposed with the sheer power and dynamism of their styles through the different rhythmic patterns of the number seven as used in Hindusthani classical music and beyond. Seema is a senior student of the Legendary Kathak exponent Pt Chitresh Das. Purbayan Chatterjee is a noted Sitarist known for his unique experimentations with Hindusthani music and other World music genres.
