how to check valve clearance on Mitsubishi 4m41 engine.
In this video, step by step guide shows how to perform valve clearance adjustment on Mitsubishi 4M41 - 3.2L turbo Deisel engine.
I have removed the engine from the car for to carry out several repairs. so, it was easy adjusting valve clearance when the engine is out. but even the engine is in the car is also not that hard to adjusting valve clearance. you can apply this procedure in most 4-cylinder engines. just the clearance is different to the engine type and model.
Highly recommended that the valve clearance must be performed when the engine is cold.
Intake side - 0.10mm
Exhaust side - 0.15mm
Lock nut tightening torque - 9.5 +/- 0.5NM
Note -
If the thickness gauge inserted and pulled out with the resistance, that means the reading/clearance is correct. If the clearance gauge inserted and pulled out freely means, the clearance does not correct.
