Описание: The owners of a Kingsbridge day care who were running an illegal drug operation that led to the death of 1-year-old Nicholas Feliz Dominici were sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Grei Mendez and her husband Felix Herrera Garcia were sentenced after being found guilty on state charges of second-degree murder and assault over the drugs found inside the child care center. They had been previously been sentenced to 45 years in prison for federal charges related to drug possession and distribution. In September 2023, police raided the Davino Nino day care center in Kingsbridge after they said multiple young children were found unconscious. Three other children survived. Officials said they discovered 1 kilo of fentanyl and drug packaging equipment, with traces of opioids on play mats where children under the age of 2 played and slept.
