A visit to Providence Home - where love lives

As part of the Social Empowerment Committee, the students of Grade 8, Sacred Heart International School, along with 10 staff members, visited Providence Home – Home for the Physically Handicapped, Mentally Challenged, and Multi-Disabled, Kalayamikonam, Perunchlambu.

The home, run with love and dedication by the sisters, shelters nearly 110 female children and elders. Some were confined to their beds, unable to care for themselves, yet their quiet resilience and radiant smiles touched every heart.

Our students brought joy through songs and dances, and were, in turn, deeply moved by the warmth and simple happiness shared by the residents. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the parents of our students, who generously contributed many things for the children in the home, making the visit even more meaningful.

The visit gave our children a glimpse into a world of silent struggles and unspoken strength, turning an act of service into a journey of self-discovery—an eye-opening experience that stirred gratitude, empathy, and humanity in young minds.
