Kadakkal Police in Kerala have filed a case against artists and the advisory committee of Manjippuzha Sree Bhagavathy Bhadrakali Temple after an RSS prayer song was performed during a temple festival in Kollam. Booked under the Religious Institutions Act, 1998, the Night Birds Orchestra and temple committees face charges for misusing a religious platform. The Congress party has demanded strict action. Meanwhile, CPM workers stirred further controversy by marching with flags featuring convicted party workers at another temple event in Vengad.
