I’m trying to gamify math to build confidence and skills. I also want them to see themselves as mathematicians. For my kindergartner this means number order (for now). So, this quick game worked really well today and my kindergartener who is so competitive really did shine! It’s not a race, so each player can take their time.
Toward the end of the game we talked about how we like math and what our favorite thing to do is in math. Black children aren’t always encouraged in math, but today? These two were. This, too, is antiracist teaching. #teachers #homeschool #math #education
