Converting an old DW 5002 Delta Accelerator pedal into two singlr pedals with some modifications.
The double pedal has blown out universal joints. I only use the pedal for double bass practice on a practice pad. I was going to get a $150 driveshaft replacement, but thought it would be cheaper to use parts I already had and get another bass practice pad for $60. I prefer the feel of two single pedals to a double pedal any day. I've been using two bass drums for years, so I'm pretty set on that. On my drums, I use Axis A Longboards.
I did have to get a stroke adjuster for this conversion, which was $13 with shipping.
The two singles both feel great and are more fun and accurate to play.
