Sky News host Rita Panahi has called out Senator Fatima Payman for her “disgraceful” performance in the Senate.
Ms Payman branded Senator Pauline Hanson a racist after the One Nation leader moved to have the former Labor senator referred to an inquiry so that the Senate could probe as to whether she has met the threshold of trying to prove that she is not a dual citizen.
“Her performance this week was disgraceful,” Ms Panahi said.
“At least with Lidia, these days after the glowing commentaries died down, she actually does have some scrutiny, including from the media, but Payman – what she did this week … I thought that was one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen on the Australian parliament.”
