Get your feet wet on Baby Lion's Back! This is a cool 300 yard long sandstone fin that you can drive up and over. The beginning and ending parts are steep just like parts of the Hell's Revenge Trail, but this obstacle will help you get the feel for exactly how much traction you have on the Moab "slickrock", and you will quickly learn that it is not really slick unless it is sandy or wet and is more like sandpaper. Baby Lion's Back should not be confused with the main Lion's Back where the infamous Chevrolet K5 Blazer lost its brakes and crashed. The main Lion's Back is on private property. My 35" tires were aired down to 14 psi, transfer case was shifted to 4-low, transmission put in 1st gear and you will just climb it easily. I rarely use lockers on trails like this and did not have lockers engaged in this video as there is no need. I only engage my lockers on climbs like Escalator or Hell's Gate.
