Описание: " Trade and economic relations between the UAE and the EAEU have been demonstrating positive and progressive development for a number of years. The United Arab Emirates are one of the Union’s central trade partners among the Gulf states: the Union's trade turnover with the UAE amounted to over 75 percent of the total EAEU trade turnover with the Gulf States in 2024.

And there is every reason to believe that the potential of trade between our countries has not been unlocked to its maximum yet. The interaction between our countries has a huge potential, which, in particular, will be achieved through an agreement on economic partnership, negotiations on the conclusion of which have been held in the shortest possible time. This agreement will become an additional driver of trade development and will create conditions to unlock the export potential of our economies: when it comes into force, the preferential regime will affect over 90 percent of trade turnover and over 85 percent of the commodity nomenclature.

At the same time, the EAEU-UAE agreement, based on international trade norms and principles, not only eliminates tariff barriers but also creates all possible instruments of sectoral cooperation in the areas that meet the development prospects of our economies.

In this regard, especially relevant are the issues of having an infrastructure for smooth fulfilment of the trade agreement, including e-commerce development, extending the pool of investment projects and building cooperation in new industries. Special focus is given to cooperation between small and medium enterprises of the parties and their involvement in trade between the countries, also as part of this agreement.

The EAEU and the UAE have a clear vision of their place in the world: the Eurasian countries follow the objectives set in the Declaration “The Eurasian Economic Path” and the UAE follows the strategic plan ‘We the UAE 2031’. The EAEU aims to position itself in the international stage as an economic attractor, one of the economic centres where the integration of the Greater Eurasian Partnership is shaped. The UAE plan to increase oil export by 800 million dirham by 2031, and to rank top 10 world countries in innovative technologies development and attracting highly skilled professionals from other countries.

Taking into account the program objectives of the parties, cooperation under the new trade agreement becomes strategic and forms special conditions and opportunities for achieving ambitious goals in the framework of cooperation in new technologies, energy, transportation, pharmaceuticals, agro-industry and a number of other areas.
