A celebration of Ustad Mahwash — Afghanistan’s first female maestro — in a live tribute concert honoring her presence, her legacy and the artists she inspires.

Produced by ⁨@kidsrockforkids3929⁩ in collaboration with @catharsisartsfoundation with our partners @upliftafgfund, @rahelatrust and @civic_engagement_project, and the support of @malalafund, we were able to sing in the presence of legendary Afghan singer Ustad Mahwash – the first woman Maestro of Afghanistan. The concert was also broadcast to more than 100 young Afghan women and featured their poems – put to song by @kidsrockforkids singers – to celebrate the creativity and resilience of women, across the world and beyond boundaries.
