Goblin Slayer Episode 1 First Impressions/Review: Lessons in D&D

Описание: Well, that escalated quickly. At first glance, Goblin Slayer is a deceptively cute and moe fantasy anime that's heavily inspired by classic RPG adventure games. It’s like lessons in D&D 101. We’re first introduced to a young priestess who joins a monk, a wizard, and a swordfighter on her first adventure.

Only they suck at adventuring. They decide to go into a goblin-invested cave without any healing potions or antidotes. As you can guess, things quickly go downhill from there, until the show’s title character—the Goblin Slayer—shows up and starts slaying goblins.

The characters seem one-dimensional for now, but overall, the animation is beautiful and the first episode did a solid job at setting the story’s tone, so if you’re looking for a dark epic fantasy that’s unflinching in its depictions of violence, I’d definitely recommend giving this anime a try this season.
