Every culture has its own temptation to create idols to meet the needs that only God is supposed to meet. The same with worship - we can be culturally conditioned to worship things that are not God.

These aren't issues in every church or every mega church but they are issues that are relevant to our day and culture as Christians living in America. The American value system can sweep in and take our faith right along with it if we aren't prepared.
