DSB Class I from McK - Unboxing and weathering

Описание: Danish State Railways' (DSB) Class I was both modern and old school at the same time when it was introduced in 1958-59. It was modern in the sense that its design was inspired by UIC-standards, but old school in the sense that it was mainly built out of wood on a steel frame and a roof clad with tarpaper. Class I was intended for transport of food items, but had no cooling so it relied solely on its white colour and panels in the side walls to keep the temperature down. 200 were built, which is by no means an insignificant number by Danish standards. The model is 10 years old when this video airs so you can say I am a little behind schedule. The model was released by Danish manufacturer McK which has just recently announced its liquidation. Very sad! The model is just as classic as the prototype - what you see is exactly what you get - in a good way: A plastic body with metal handrails and other details.
