Chana Dal (Split Bengal Gram): Boiled and mashed for the rich, dense stuffing.
Pure Organic Jaggery (Gur): Providing the authentic, natural sweetness.
Whole Wheat Flour & Refined Flour (Maida): Blended perfectly for a soft, non-cracking dough.

Pure Desi Ghee: Used generously for roasting the poli to a golden-brown perfection.
A pinch of Turmeric & Salt: For flavor balance and a beautiful golden color.
📌 About this Traditional Recipe:
Puran Poli is a classic Indian sweet flatbread predominantly prepared during Makar Sankranti, Gudi Padwa, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Holi. While famous in Maharashtra, it is also deeply loved across India under regional names such as Holige or Bele Obbattu in Karnataka, Vedmi in Gujarat (often made with Toor Dal), and Paruppu Poli in South India. The combination of the sweet lentil bread and the spicy Katachi Amti is an absolute staple in every authentic Maharashtrian thali!
