On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. Continuing on the never ending journey of prepping a 40 year old truck semi-truck for paint, I’ve been sanding, grinding and polishing my way to what hopefully will turn into a decent paint job to match the movie truck. As I’ve mentioned, I know nothing about autobody and I’m kind of learning as I go, but making progress none the less. I also setup a make-shift paint booth using tarps, Tyvek, zipties and some fans … we’ll see how well it works when I finally get to putting down some primer (hopefully next episode).
