In the 1.4.5 "Bigger and Boulder" Update, the Ranger class remains the undisputed king of consistent DPS and safety, but it has received several key adjustments to its arsenal and mechanics that smoothen the mid-to-late game progression. The Ranger in 1.4.5 is less about a total overhaul and more about versatility. As a whole, you are no longer "allergic" to water when using fire weapons, and your accessory choices like the Quiver are more impactful than ever.
