Lyrics:

Raise yer hammers, sons of stone,
And hear the grudge that must be known,
When Forek Grimbok, proud and true,
Sailed to Ulthuan to learn the truth.
When Elgi spat upon our pride,
And shaved the beard of Grimbok's hide.

He brought the words of Gotrek's law—
Caledor answered with his caw.
"Beg for it, Dwarf, on bended knee!"
Those were the words of the Asur King,
And for that slight, aye, hear us sing—
No grudge is greater, none so deep,
No debt of blood that stone won't keep!

By Grungni's forge and Grimnir's axe,
We wrote the grudge and speak the facts,
No Elgi blade nor silver tongue,
Can silence what their acts had brought!
The beard was shaved—the books were penned—
And only blood can make amends!

Gotrek Starbreaker, dragon-crowned,
Swore an oath to hallowed ground:
"In gold or gore I'll have recompense,
Or shave mine own beard in consequence!"

The forges roared from peak to peak,
From Karak Ankor to Karak Kadrin.
Ironbreakers armored, Longbeards old,
Marched alongside Slayers bold.

From every hold the throngs marched down,
To avenge a grudge like none had known,
“Khazukan Kazakit-ha!”
“Khazukan Kazakit-ha!”

By Grungni's forge and Grimnir's axe,
We wrote the grudge and speak the facts,
No Elgi blade nor silver tongue,
Can silence what their acts had brought!
The beard was shaved—the books were penned—
And only blood can make amends!

At Tor Alessi's elf-made walls,
Proud Snorri Halfhand heard the call,
He challenged Caledor face to face—
The Phoenix King his life did take.

Snorri fell, brave Snorri fell,
His axe-arm cold, his deeds to tell,
His cousin Morgrim, heart like iron,
Swore to raze every Elgi spire!

And raze he did—through blood and flame,
Through Oeragor he carved his name,
Lord Imladrik—great they say—
Met Morgrim's axe and passed away.

Thirteen times we took the field,
Thirteen times those walls held sealed,
But on the fourteenth—hear us roar!—
The might Dawi shattered Tor Alessi's door!

For a hundred days the engines sang,
The towers fell, the war-horns rang,
And at the city's dying heart,
Gotrek cornered the King who this war did start!

Three days they duelled—axe and blade—
Three days the greatest grudge was weighed,
Until Caledor's wrist grew slow—
And Gotrek answered with a mighty blow!

"I beg for mercy! I beg for peace!"
The Phoenix King begged for release,
But Gotrek saw his lying eyes—
Knew mercy wears a traitor's guise.

He raised the Rune-axe, old and grim,
The axe of Grimnir, forged for him,
And there he paid the blood-price owed—
For every grudge the Book bestowed!

The Phoenix Crown from dead brow taken,
Karaz-a-Karak, deep and shaken,
Rang with the victory of the slain —
But joy, that day, was mixed with pain.

By Grungni's forge and Grimnir's axe,
We wrote the grudge and speak the facts,
The Phoenix Crown sits cold and still,
In Karaz-a-Karak, ever will.
The beard was shaved—the books were penned—
But some debts have no end.
