Описание: Our infertility journey after my azoospermia diagnosis has some unwanted side effects from my now 4 months post microtese surgery, side effects of male factor infertility. One of which being weekly testosterone injections. I'm not a medical professional, but here are some general steps that may help guide you in giving yourself a testosterone shot. However, it's important to note that self-administering any medication, including testosterone, should only be done under the guidance and supervision of a qualified healthcare provider, and following their specific instructions and prescription.

1. Gather supplies: You'll need a vial of testosterone, a syringe, an alcohol swab, a sharps container for safe disposal of used needles, and possibly a cotton ball or gauze.

2. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to ensure they are clean and dry.

3. Choose the injection site: Common injection sites for testosterone shots are the buttocks or the thigh. Your healthcare provider will guide you on the appropriate site for your injection.

4. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab to sterilize the area.

5. Prepare the syringe: If your testosterone comes in a multi-dose vial, you may need to draw up the appropriate dosage using a syringe. Follow your healthcare provider's instructions on how much testosterone to draw up and how to do it correctly.

6. Remove any air bubbles from the syringe by gently tapping the syringe and pushing the plunger to expel any air.

7. Administer the injection: Use one hand to stretch the skin around the injection site, and with the other hand, insert the needle into the muscle at a 90-degree angle. Slowly depress the plunger to inject the testosterone into the muscle.

8. Withdraw the needle: Once the medication is fully injected, gently pull the needle out at the same angle it was inserted.

9. Apply pressure with a cotton ball or gauze to the injection site to help minimize bleeding, if necessary.

10. Safely dispose of the used needle and syringe in a sharps container, following proper sharps disposal guidelines.

11. Wash your hands again thoroughly with soap and water.

It's important to note that these are general instructions and may not be suitable for everyone. Always consult with your healthcare provider for personalized instructions and guidance on how to administer testosterone shots safely and effectively. They will be able to provide you with specific instructions based on your individual needs and medical condition.
