Описание: The film about Amir Khusro, the courtier, poet, philosopher, musician. Amir Khusro was born around 700 years ago in Patiali village of Etah district now in Uttar Pradesh. He was the son of a Turkish nobleman, Ameer Saifuddin Mehmood, who migrated to India from Baluch during the reign of King Shamsuddin Altamash. Khusro's father was a devotee of the great Sufi saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin, whose favourite disciple was Amir Khusro. Khusro knew no barriers of religion. He spoke the language of eternal humanism. To India, Khusro gave new ragas and raginis. Qawali is his major contribution to devotional music. The sitar and the tabla are also Khusro's gifts. Through his life, Khusro symbolised the ideal of brotherhood, of secularism. Directed by Omprakash Sharma.
