Mom waved dismissively. "The little rentals. The ones you're always complaining about. I made them useful." She pulled out a folder, proud. Six refinancing statements. Six different banks. Each showed my signature—or what was supposed to be my signature—approving cash-out refinances totaling $240,000.
My brother Marcus laughed. "Finally, someone put your real estate hobby to good use."
