CT-5597, nicknamed "Jesse," was a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic's 501st Legion during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Known for his sense of humor, Jesse served under Clone Captain CT-7567 "Rex" in many battles, including the Battle of Saleucami and the Battle of Umbara; by the Battle of Anaxes, Jesse had achieved the honorary status of Advanced Recon Commando.
In the final days of the Clone Wars, Jesse was promoted to the rank of Clone Lieutenant and participated in Siege of Mandalore. In the aftermath of the siege, he attempted to execute Order 66 on Ahsoka Tano and later charged Rex with treason against the Republic when it became clear his former superior refused to kill Tano. Ultimately, however, Jesse, along with the clone troopers under his command, was defeated by the duo and perished when the Venator-class Star Destroyer carrying him crashed on a rocky moon. Later, Tano and Rex recovered and buried his body, with his helmet serving as his grave's marker.
