How to Start NEET PG Preparation | Smart Strategy by DR.Dattatreya.
1.Gather resources wisely – Don’t run behind multiple sources. Consistency makes the real difference. (I personally used Marrow Rapid Revision Notes. If you feel a topic is missing after solving PYQs, keep adding that information to your notes.)
2.Prioritize smartly – You don’t need to know everything. Focus on high-yield topics and important areas. Avoid wasting time on unnecessary or overly complicated details.
Revise with purpose – Don’t try to read everything blindly. Focus only on content you can realistically revise at the end.
3.Have a proper plan – Schedule your preparation before you start. Don’t just follow what others are doing; make a plan that works for you.
4.Grand tests are key – Take a Grand Test every week. Equally important is analyzing your mistakes and learning from them.
5.Solve PYQs (Previous Year Questions) – Do them regularly, but don’t depend solely on them. Use them as a guide to identify important topics.
6.Summarise daily study – For every 3 hours of study, spend 10 minutes writing a quick summary, noting volatile points, or recording yourself on mobile. Keep revising these summaries again and again.
Use mnemonics – They help in long-term memory. (I used Sure Shot Mnemonics by Dr. Nikita Nanwani ma’am, which really helped me.)
7.Focus on concepts – Understanding beats rote learning. When you know the “why,” you’ll never forget the “what.”
8.100 MCQs daily is a must – Reading is not enough. The exam tests how well you can apply your knowledge, and that comes only with practice.
9.Build MCQ-solving skills – Learn to interpret questions, eliminate options, and manage time effectively. This skill alone can boost your rank
✨ Remember: It’s not about how many hours you study, but how effectively you revise, practice, and apply your knowledge.
