This region serves as the central hub for Southern Oregon's most iconic landscapes, with Crater Lake National Park and Chiloquin to the North, and the rugged Lava Beds National Monument, Lower Klamath Refuge, and Mt. Shasta to the South.

Looking directly West past the lake, is of Mt. McLoughlin and the high country includeing Mountain lakes and Sky Lake Wilderness Areas surrounding Lake of the Woods and Fourmile Lake. Sit back and experience the ambient transition from golden hour to dusk in the heart of the Klamath Basin.

This channel is high desert vet, based out of Klamath Falls, Oregon.

I document life as it happens — the quiet parts, the travel, the places I spend time in — and I share stories from my own life along the way. Some of that comes from my time as a disabled veteran, and some of it comes from where I am now.

I served on active duty in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Frederick (LST-1184) from 1986 to 1989. If you’ve ever been on a tank landing ship, you know it’s not glamorous. Long days, steel decks, the constant smell of fuel and salt, and a lot of time to think. That experience still shapes how I move through the world and how I look at quiet places.

Years later, I worked as a contractor in Iraq from 2007 to 2009 during the Global War on Terror, supporting operations at Camp Victory. That chapter changed my relationship with noise, crowds, and stillness in ways that never really go away.

These days, I focus on ambient nature videos and documenting my travels, often in rural or less-traveled places. I’m usually accompanied by Denali, my Tibetan Mastiff, who shows up in many of these outings as a calm, steady presence. On some trips, Spirit, my pitbull rescue, comes along as well.

There’s no narration unless it belongs there. No hype. No forced message.
Just place, sound, time — and sometimes a story when it makes sense.
