STORYLINE:
NATO troops searched former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic's family home on Tuesday for evidence of contacts to the network that helped genocide suspect Ratko Mladic evade arrest.
NATO spokesman Derek Chappell said the family members were questioned in the early hours of the morning at their home in Pale, near Sarajevo and that the troops were pleased with the results of their investigation.
Soldiers were seen carrying out suitcases and boxes from the house.
Karadzic's daughter Sonja told AP Television the soldiers had questioned the family about Mladic and the Croatian Serb wartime leader Goran Hadzic.
"They also asked us who my father was in contact with during the war and during his hiding and the time he had a false identity," she added.
Karadzic has been in the custody of the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague since July.
He and his former general Mladic are accused of having masterminded the 1995 massacre of 8 thousand Muslims in Srebrenica and the armed siege of Sarajevo during the 1992-95 war.
The UN tribunal believes Mladic is hiding in neighbouring Serbia.
