Описание: Growing up has come with its own challenges for me. In a two-month time period in 2005, I went from being a normal child who was running and jumping to a child who could hardly walk without assistance. I lost all abilities to run, jump, or even climb stairs; in fact, walking became a major struggle. I would often fall to the ground without warning. Simple daily activities became a struggle—from opening jars to buttoning my pants. My whole life changed in a matter of months.

After six months of medical testing, I was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy at the age of eleven. After diagnoses, I began treatment of Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) which is a blood product administered intravenously. Seven years later I'm still IVIG dependent and receive treatment every six weeks, but I do not let that stop me from doing anything I set my mind to do.

With proper treatment of IVIG, I'm symptom free and able to participate in activities that any normal active nineteen-year-old would enjoy. I am a walking modern-day miracle who has surpassed all medical expectations. I'm thankful for the doctors who helped me get to where I am today physically, but I know without my heavenly doctor, my Lord and Savior, I would not be the same living testimony. I have worn a necklace around my neck since I first started this journey, and it says, "Thanks be to God who gives us the victory." Without God, I am nothing!
