Before each daily practice make sure to warm up adequately. Some light joint circles, 10-15 rep slow wide stance squats/shallow up-down dogs are a good choice to get the blood flowing.
For each day start with 2 mins for each exercise/limb and gradually/methodically work your way up to 5 mins. Remember to breathe deeply as it helps to oxygenate the muscle thus allowing more tension release, which promotes an increase in flexibility.
