Knott’s Soak City opened on June 17, 2000, originally branded as Soak City U.S.A. Spread across 13 acres directly adjacent to Knott’s Berry Farm, this seasonal water park is open from mid-May through early September and features 23 slides and water attractions. It was previously part of a trio of Soak City parks, with the Buena Park location being the flagship. Though ownership has changed over the years, today Soak City continues to be a standout water park under the Cedar Fair banner, delivering fun in the California sun.

Knott’s Berry Farm itself has an even richer history. What started in the 1920s as a roadside berry stand by the Knott family grew into California’s first theme park. Famous for its boysenberries and Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant, the park evolved in the 1940s with the introduction of Ghost Town, America’s first themed amusement park area. Today, Knott’s Berry Farm spans 160 acres and includes four themed zones: Ghost Town, Fiesta Village, The Boardwalk, and Camp Snoopy. It offers a mix of world-class roller coasters, live shows, and immersive attractions that continue to honor its Old West and agricultural roots.
