Описание: The centuries-old image of Saint Augustine of Hippo, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, known also as the "Doctor of Grace," was enthroned on its original place at the top of the retablo of the Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Guagua, Pampanga. The rites were held last August 28, the feast of the said saint. This is in line with the parish's celebration of the 500 Years of the Arrival of Christianity in the Philippines, as well as the 431 Years of the Foundation of the Parroquia. This rite was held as a gesture of thanksgiving to the Augustinian missionaries, who brought the Catholic faith to the municipality of Guagua and to the province of Pampanga. The event was graced by the presence of the Hermandad de la Correa y de Santa Rita de Cascia, the secular (lay) fraternity of the Order of Discalced Augustinians (OAD). The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was offered by Rev. Fr. Victor Nicodemes S. Nicdao, Rector of the Mother of Good Counsel Seminary and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Benjamin B. Espiritu III, parochial vicar.
