Northern Quarter - This is the Place (Short Documentary)

Описание: A short documentary film devised, created, produced, directed and edited by The Reporters’ Academy and five young media trainees aged 18-24yo about Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Since December 2021, The Reporters’ Academy have ran a Media Traineeship with 5 local young people who have an avid interest in the media industry and aspire to be the next media professionals.

During the 6 month Media Traineeship, the group have worked together with The Reporters’ Academy to pitch their documentary ideas to an expert panel, devise shot lists and scripts for capturing footage and voiceovers, completed location shoots across the Northern Quarter and around Manchester as well as, edited their sequences together using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Being Manchester based, we had a desire to bring untold stories of the Northern Quarter to life by interviewing a number of different NQ based businesses and dwellers. Contributors include:
