We all know what it feels like to carry something we haven't dealt with, the weight of it affecting our sleep, our relationships, our sense of self. But what happens when we finally stop hiding and bring it into the light?
In this message from our David's Playlist series, Pastor Rachel White walks us through Psalm 32 — a reflection written later in David's life, looking back on what unconfessed sin truly cost him, and what forgiveness truly freed him into.
From Psalm 32, we discover two realities that define David's journey, and ours:
1. Sin leaves us fractured and fettered; physically depleted, emotionally exhausted, and spiritually disconnected from God and ourselves
2. Christ makes us forgiven and free; debt erased, joy restored, and surrounded by a love that doesn't let go
This message explores why confession isn't just a religious ritual — it's the doorway out of hiding and into wholeness. And it points us to Jesus, the one David calls his hiding place, his shelter, and his deliverer — the reason we don't have to carry what we were never meant to hold.
If you're weighed down by something unconfessed—shame, bitterness, guilt, or fear—Psalm 32 is an invitation to stop performing and start receiving the freedom that's already been won for you.
