Eight years ago the road to Mallandur from Chikmagalur was a pot hole ridden mess because of the heavy rains in the area during the monsoon season. The present condition of the road is very good & driving in the rains was a wonderful experience. However, this journey was not a pleasure trip but inevitable as my husband had to attend to some bank work. Mallandur is a small village about 20 Kms from Chikmagalur.
