I have an old prepaid Virgin Mobile LG flip phone. It does calls and text only. No apps. I have never upgraded because I pay only $20 for every THREE months with this phone. 😊🖤 It has never given me any problems before. But ever since Virgin Mobile was bought out by Boost Mobile this year I have been getting strange texts from the 3333 caller which I can not see on my LG cell phone because my mobile does not do picture texts. 🤔🤷‍♀️ And because it's an LG cell phone I CAN NOT block the caller. Nor does calling 9999 to stop the texts from coming in work. The texts now are coming in every second and are non stop 24 hours a day. 🤦‍♀️
I found out online that many other people are having the same exact relentless 3333 text calls issues as I am.
Two days ago I reached out to Boost Mobile for help. They said they will get in contact with me but are yet to do so.
I have a feeling I am going to just have to bite the bullet and get a new phone with a different company.
Damn you 2020! Enough already! LOL! 🖕

Well miracles of miracles!
Boost Mobile SEEMS to have finally blocked the unbearable 24 hours a day 3333 texts messages!
I wrote to the Boost Mobile Facebook page saying goodbye and my reasons why. I wrote about how ever since they bought out Virgin Mobile (my former cell phone provider) I have been receiving a mysterious 3333 text message at all hours of the day. I also told them how I wrote to the forum about it and how they were no help giving me advise about using the 9999 method to block the texts. It did not work whatsoever. I couldn't block it because my mobile phone is a text and call and NO apps phone.
The Boost Mobile Facebook page wrote back to me and asked me to private message them. Then they sent me to a link where I wrote back and forth for hours to an agent about the problem. Turns out they DID received the request to block the number when I used the 9999 method but for whatever reason the 3333 texts continued to come in. So they decided to blocked it on their end. It SEEMS to have finally worked.
Damn did I have to jump through hoops for this. How insane! But it's done AT LAST! WOOHOO! 👍

Second Update ;

They're back.
The damn 3333 text spams started again at 9:10pm this evening. It's 11:19pm and I have gotten 23 text so far... Wait... Make that 24 now.


Third Update Oct. 1st;
The Boost Care Team just now wrote back to me a few minutes ago about the latest new 3333 texts and said, "It is likely caused by a glitch within the communication settings. Please contact us if it happens again. We remain at your service." It has seemed to have stopped. The last text that came in was at 9:10am this morning and I haven't gotten any more since then. What a relief!
