Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the census will take place in two important phases.

📌 Phase 1 (April–September 2026):
House-listing operations will be carried out across the country.

📌 Phase 2 (February 2027):
Full nationwide population census will be conducted.

This will be India’s first fully digital census, aimed at ensuring accuracy, transparency, and faster data processing.
