Women Of The Underworld is a short documentary looking at the relationships between women and men associated with organised crime in gangland London.
Of all the stories told about the notorious London underworld of the Krays and company, the voices we never heard were of the women behind the men of the gangland. This documentary speaks to two of them. The partner of Krays rival Charlie Richardson and a long-standing female family confidant of the Krays themselves.
They explain what it was like to live and love these men shown to be evil killers in the media, with great insights into how they were in their own homes. A psychologist then goes onto explain the relationships between the gangsters and the women in their lives and why the rogues were so attractive to them.
