This stretch of the McKenzie Creek segment begins at the 300th Avenue Parking Lot Trailhead and ends at the Clam River (60th Street) Trailhead.
Some notable sights along the way include:
00:00 - Trailhead at 300th Avenue
03:10 - IANST begins following an ATV trail or old roadbed
15:10 - IANST leaves the ATV trail/roadbed
16:30 - The trail starts following the east bank of McKenzie Creek
25:00 - There are some old growth white pines to be seen along much of this section of the trail
54:10 - Cross Little McKenzie Creek, tributary of McKenzie Creek
55:05 - Brief view of a blue heron flying away
01:02:00 - Views of Dinger Lake for next several minutes
01:17:20 - Begin hiking along the Clam River
01:19:35 - Crossing over the Clam River via bridge
01:21:15 - Clam River Trailhead (at 60th Street)
Total hiking distance for this section is about 3.2-miles. This section of the IANST is part of the 9.4-mile McKenzie Creek Segment. The hiking direction along the Ice Age Trail recorded in these videos is from west to east across the State of Wisconsin.
