Hours after being arrested by Patna Police in connection with the murder of Jan Suraaj worker Dular Chand Yadav, JD(U)’s Mokama candidate and former MLA Anant Singh shared a defiant message on social media, expressing faith in his supporters and hinting that his arrest was politically motivated. In a video posted on Facebook showing himself being escorted by the police, Singh wrote: “Satyamev Jayate!! I have complete faith in the people of Mokama!! Therefore, the people of Mokama will now contest the elections.”
