Forces intensify terrorists’ Manhunt on 6th consecutive day of cordon-&-search operation in Rajouri

Описание: Massive anti-terror cordon-and-search operation is being carried out in Rajouri’s Pir Panjal belt. Operation is carried out jointly by Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF in dense Ghambir Mughlan forest. The efforts to manhunt the terrorist in Rajouri’s dense forests intensified as it enters its consecutive 6th day on May 28. In a breakthrough on the second day of the operation, contact was established with the terrorists on 24the May. Since then, extensive combing and surveillance operations have continued across the forest belt. The forces have been successful to corner the terrorists in the area, stopping them from escaping into safe zone. Rugged forest terrain and high mountainous area poses specific challenges to the forces in the operation. Additional deployment has been made in nearby villages and upper reaches due to the challenges of the terrain.
