The Birds (izinyoni) are singing in the trees
The Rhinos (oBhejane) move in the dust
The Elephant Queen (Indlovukazi) is sun bathing at the river

Verse 2:
There is a dead animal lying in the path
The carcass is rotting in the sun
A snake (inyoka) is slithering in the grass
The crocodile (ingwenya) is lurking under the water (amanzi)
Beware! (Qhapela!)

Verse 3:
The Springboks (antelope, "izimphephe") are jumping across the field
The monkeys ("imfene") are playing all over the jungle
The Rhinos (oBhejane) move in the dust
