Описание: In an inspiring and practical look at the backbone of film production, this session explored two roles that bring film productions to life: the diverse worlds of the Locations Assistant and Gaffer - key positions in immersing the audience into the world of screen seamlessly.

Ed Barker - Locations Assistant - began his journey participating in Broadway Cinema’s BFI Film Academy Short Course. After graduating from Leeds Arts University, he navigated the post-pandemic Film & TV landscape, starting his career in a time of recovery for the industry. His first on-set experience came as part of the Covid department for a large-scale reality TV production in Yorkshire, and later joining the BBC series Better. During his time on these shows, he built a strong relationship with the locations department, which led to his first marshalling opportunities. Over the following year, he expanded his skills across multiple productions, establishing a solid network of colleagues who often recommended him for new opportunities including high-profile projects such as Steve McQueen's Blitz and Netflix’s The Crown.

Liv Kininmonth - Gaffer - also completed Broadway Cinema’s BFI Film Academy Short Course, heading on to the Arts University Bournemouth. Her grad film as DOP, Bloodshed, was featured by Girls in Film, and has been selected across 8-international film festivals including British Short Film Festival 2023 held in Berlin. After graduating, Liv has progressed through the Lighting department in fulfilling positions on BFI NETWORK short films and commercials as Spark and Gaffer including; The Witches, Personal Best, and Altitude's latest feature film, Turbulence starring Olga Kurylenko, Jeremy Irvine, Hera Hilmar & Kelsey Grammer.
