2 deadly crashes in 3 days: Tacoma drivers say Yakima Avenue needs to see change

Описание: The Tacoma Police Department (TPD) is investigating a fatal crash in the 2000 block of Yakima Avenue on Thursday afternoon that killed two drivers and a dog.

The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. near St. Joseph Medical Center. Police said a southbound vehicle and a northbound vehicle collided after one crossed the center line. Authorities have not said which driver crossed into oncoming traffic.

Just two days before Thursday's deadly crash, another driver was killed in a collision on Yakima Avenue on Tuesday night. The at-fault driver was arrested for vehicular homicide and suspected DUI, according to TPD Sgt. John Correa.
