Sonic 2 & Knuckles Speedrun in

Описание: After choking away so many potentials, I finally got a 14! And it was a very good one, the best run I've had. Really happy with this time. Probably the best speedrun I've ever done in any game.

Only levels that were subpar to my standards were HT1, HT2, and MC1, and they were only just below par. Several levels went much better than average as well, so this would be extremely hard to beat. I'm not going to try any time soon, this is definitely a good enough time for now.

Level notes:
EH1: I only accept 19 for this level, so standard. | Rank: A+
EH2: Level went super smooth, accidentally glided the wrong way on the boss, costing a second | Rank: A
CP1: The blocks on this level run on a universal timer, if you play extremely well at the start you can just squeeze in to beat them and save 2 seconds. Which I did. Perfect. | Rank: A+
CP2: Stage went fine, but I played very aggressively on the capsule because I needed a perfect capsule to get a 33. Went too early, so didn't quite nab it | Rank: A
AR1: Perfect. | Rank: A+
AR2: Hit the Perfect Glide, which is really rare and saves 2.5 seconds. Didn't get boss glitch, which can save another 3.5, but that's also a 1 framer | Rank: A+
CN1: Missed the perfect jump off the boxes to go the top path at the end. Nailed the backup perfectly though, still a solid time | Rank: A+
CN2: This is the major runbreaker of most runs. 1 framer to clip into the wall here, break the box and it's over. Got it first try, which is obviously good. Lost a bit of time inside the wall as I tried to spindash too quickly, but still very solid | Rank: A+
HT1: Sadly jumped just a tiny bit too late, and got hit by the lava ball. Played alright outside of that, but cycles and random elements were also not great here | Rank: B
HT2: Got a poor spindash after the first superglide, and then the shield super glide also failed once. I hate box superglides for this reason. Latter part was solid | Rank: B
MC1: Just missed the spindash up the bridge once, cost 3 seconds | Rank: B
MC2: Flawless. Getting a 41 here is very hard, because even if you play perfectly with these strats, the best you can get is like a 41.8, so very happy with this | Rank: A+
OO1: Had a poor spindash and would've died going for double oil skip, so bailed out and did another spindash. Managed to still scrap a 33, which isn't too bad | Rank: A
OO2: Didn't get a high enough superglide to make it all the way in one go and had to do another one. Also got a really unlucky fall pattern after activating mega knux, but somehow still scrapped a 39 with a perfect finish, meaning I lost no time | Rank: A+
Met 1: Bad start, missed the first cycle of the exhaust by trying to spindash too quickly and jumping instead. Made up for it by getting lucky ramp and then first try mesh clip, another 1 framer. | Rank: A
Met 2: Perfect, but a very easy level to get perfect | Rank: A+
Met 3: Only mistake here was jumping a bit too late after the second teleporter tube. This also meant the moving platform before the cog wheel was too far into it's cycle for me to spindash too, so I had to jump earlier. Readjusted fine, even got swag boss kill. Still a solid time | Rank: A+
Sky Chase: Saved the 2 animals successfully | Rank: A+
WF: Easily the best level of the run. Got slope glitch off the first booster first try, which is incredibly difficult. Got a touch unlucky with the first tiny zip, but got the super glide straight away. Even got lucky landing (you sometimes get stopped when you land), rest of the level was perfect. Had some trouble getting into the position for the boss, but just got there in time. | Rank: A+
DE: The last 3 runs I had to this point, softlocked on Silver Sonic. So I tried to go a bit earlier to make sure I hit him before his attack. I did so, but if I went even a frame earlier, I would've died. Did 9-3 solidly on the boss, and the level was just fast enough that I scraped home a 50 | Rank: A+
