Michele came to us with a very distressing case of post-herpetic neuralgia, a painful condition that effects up to 50% of people aged over 50 following an episode of shingles.
In her case, she had extreme pain and sensitivity covering her lower left forearm and particularly her hand. She was unable to touch the area due to extreme sensitivity and this had been the case for months after her shingles had resolved.
She had been given heavy medications that were poorly tolerated and she was having to take CBD and THC products to sleep. A pain management clinic had told her there was little they could do for her other than to burn the affected nerves.
We treated her over several weeks and she had a very marked reduction in her symptoms, allowing her to return to life as normal. The change in her emotional state, due to the reduction in pain, is evident in these videos.
