The all-new Land Rover Discovery visits the Coral Sand Dunes of Arizona.
The 2017 Discovery comes available with either a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 (340hp) or a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 making 258hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic. Prices start at $49,990.
The new Discovery features Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 system with settings for Grass, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock surfaces. The vehicle's approach angle is 34 inches, departure angle is 30 inches, and breakover angle is 27.5 inches. Ground clearance is 11 inches, and wheel articulation is 19.6 inches. The new Discovery can wade to a depth of 35 inches. Coil spring suspension is standard, but Air Suspension with auto raise and lowering is available.
