Описание: The migration of mammals from the land to the water meant a lot of changes needed to be made to their behaviour and life history traits. One of the most important changes was the need to communicate under water, where vision is limited and animals can be spread oceans apart with the need to communicate with each other. Professor Tracey Rogers talks about the differences between sounds produced by marine mammals. It took millions of years for mammals to develop acoustic communication to the point it is at today, and it is still changing; mostly because human impacts of noise in the ocean and the way it interferes with mammal communication.
