My thoughts:  it is so dim it is not usable outside. I originally bought this because it takes a 3 volt battery thinking it would be brighter than the red beam.  Also, when researching what to put in the video description, I noticed that the Holosun website that it says it is powered by two included lithium batteries, but it actually only takes one, and only includes one in the box even though there is a slot for a second battery.  I really wish I could’ve taken this to the range and show you how dim it is outside but I don’t want to risk dropping it or anything because it is getting returned and I won’t have to find a different alternative.
