How to make boorsagh
Here is the recipe for the boorsagh
Ingredients:
· ½ cup Oil
· 1 cup Sugar
· 2 cups Yogurt
· 5 cups Flour
· 2 eggs
· 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
· ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
· 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Begin my mixing together the oil and sugar
2. Add the yogurt and mix
3. Add the eggs and mix thoroughly
4. Add the baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix it well to make sure everything is combined
5. Add the flour and mix until the mixture is dough like (if not, add a little more flour)
6. Cover the bowl and set aside for the dough to rise
7. On a clean surface, spread some flour, so the dough wont stick, and roll out the dough (dough needs to be thin)
8. Cut out what ever shape you would like
9. Heat a pan with oil (enough for the dough to be fully covered) and let it get heated
10. Carefully place the pieces of dough you have shaped into the oil and let it cook
11.Once the dough is golden brown remove from pan and place it on a plate (you can sprinkle powder sugar if you would like)
