Largest Displacement in Their Class
The new DF150 and DF175 utilize an all-new inline four-cylinder four-stroke engine with a DOHC four-valve powerhead that produces 150hp (110kW) and 175hp (129kW) respectively. At 2,867cm3 (174.9 cu.in.), these two outboards offer the largest displacement in the four-stroke, four-cylinder category to date. And thanks to Suzuki's innovative engineering, they are the lightest in their category to date.

Multi-Stage Induction (MSI)
The DF150 and DF175 incorporate a multi-stage induction system to enhance engine performance by changing the length of intake manifold pipes according to engine speed. The system utilizes two intake manifold pipes per cylinder, one for operating at low engine speed and another for operating at high. At lower rpm, air enters the combustion chamber through the longer manifold pipe, which is designed to deliver an optimum volume of fresh air into the chamber to improve combustion and boost low-end torque.

As the engine speed surpasses a preset threshold, the valve on the direct intake pipe opens up, letting air enter instantly into the combustion chamber. Shorter and lacking resistance, this pipe gets a greater volume of air into the chamber, increasing the engine's ability to breathe at high rpm, thus improving high speed power output.

Suzuki engineers have equipped these outboards with many other advanced features that contribute to engine performance. A spherical bore throttle body produces smoother airflow during acceleration. This results in greater engine control and stable operation at low rpm.

Onze ingenieurs hebben de vooruitgang die gemaakt is in 4-takt technologie gebruikt om de sterkste Suzuki 4 cilinder buitenboordmotoren ooit te bouwen. De DF175 maakt volledig gebruik van de vooruitgang die Suzuki heeft geboekt in 4-takt technologie. Een continue variabele kleptiming systeem, zoals u ook terug vind op ons vlaggenschip de DF300, zorgt voor een sterk middengebied. Het topvermogen wordt verzorgd door de variabele inlaatkanalen die een betere luchttoevoer mogelijk maken.

DE GROOTSTE CILNDERINHOUD
MET HET LAAGSTE GEWICHT IN HUN KLASSE.
Suzuki's talent voor het leveren van veel vermogen met tegelijkertijd compacte afmetingen wordt weer zeer duidelijk bij deze twee in lijn vier cilinder motoren. Met een cilinderinhoud van 2,867 cm3 voor de DF 175/DF150 en respectievelijk 2,044 cm3 voor de DF140, maken dit de grootste motorformaten in hun klasse. Deze grote cilinderinhoud zorgt voor een enorme acceleratie, dit betekent echter niet dat de motor daarom groter en zwaarder is, integendeel Suzuki's ingenieurs hebben deze 4-takten tot de lichtste in hun klasse gemaakt.

LAAG BRANDSTOFGEBRUIK DOOR SUZUKI TECHNOLOGIE.
De Top Performance modellen leveren enorme prestaties maar niet ten koste van het verbruik. Door gebruik te maken van een 32 bits computer voor een optimale brandstof regeling, voldoen deze motoren ruimschoots aan de EURO1 emissie norm. Ook zijn ze gekwalificeerd voor de 2006 EPA norm.

VERMOGEN OMZETTEN IN SNELHEID.
De DF175, DF150 en DF140 zijn ontworpen voor het gebruik van een grotere diameter propeller en zijn uitgevoerd met een krachtige overbrengsverhouding. De combinatie van een grotere propeller en een grotere overbrengsverhouding geeft een superieure acceleratie over het gehele toerengebied. Dit wordt zeer gewaardeerd bij gebruik op sportboten.

MULTIFUNCTIONEEL
Een offset aandrijfas en een gecombineerde nokkenasaandrijving maken de Top Performance motoren zeer compact en optimaliseren de balans op de spiegel. De motoren zijn geschikt voor uiteenlopende boten, van sportboten tot zeewaardige boten en motorcruisers. Een dubbele montage (tegengestelde draairichting leverbaar) achter een consoleboot of catamaran voor een nog sportievere belevenis.

GEMAK DIENT DE MENS.
Suzuki buitenboordmotoren zijn dusdanig ontworpen dat u van al het gemak wordt voorzien. De motoren beschikken over hoog rendement dynamo's waardoor het geen probleem is accessoires te monteren. Tevens beschikken zij over watergekoelde en geïsoleerde gelijkrichters die het mogelijk maken twee accu's aan te sluiten. Ook is er een schakelaar gemonteerd die het omhoog brengen van de motor begrenst.
