Lisa Gade reviews the pre-production E-Pad by EeWrite. The e-ink Android-based eReader is on Kickstarter until the end of April 2019 with an expected August 2019 release date. It has a 10.3” Mobius Carta e-ink display (1874 x 1404) supporting touch and Wacom EMR pen with 4,096 pressure levels. The shipping version will run Android 8.0 Oreo (with direct access to Android OS, Google Play Store and the usual suite of Google apps like Google Play Books and Music). The E-Pad has 4G LTE with a nano SIM card slot, a microSD card slot, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, stereo speakers, USB-C port and a display front light. It competes with the Onyx BOOX Note Pro and Sony Digital Paper.
